“If you have come to help me you are wasting your time. If you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together” -Dr. Lilla Watson

I photograph life around me and curate experiences to bring people together. Photography is a practice that grounds me, connects me to my community, and gives me a way to explore who I am. I believe in collective solidarity leading to liberation for all. I often look for evidence of this or the absence of this notion in our world to guide where me and my camera go. Making art to serve as “an axe for the frozen sea within us”.
