Goji Berry Exhibition by Yong Fei Guan

”Goji berries were brought to Edmonton by the first Chinese workers after the completion of the railway in the late 19th Century. Over the past three years, artist Yong Fei Guan has examined some of the untold histories through the lens of local gojis and their human companion. Her team has donated over 300 baby goji plants to the public, including the new Chinese Garden at Fort Edmonton Park located on 1905 Street. A tea conversation with the artist will be held once a week at Reeds Bazaar, where we will reflect on our own idea of “home” in the time of mass migration.”
